Welcome to Saigon, Vietnam!

19 June • Saigon, Vietnam: After 6 days in Hong Kong, Fr. General Jacob Nampudakam continues his Asian visitations of the Society to Vietnam.

"God bless you in all of your apostolic undertakings"
St. Vincent Pallotti

30 May • Rome, Italy: During its session on 30th May 2018, the General Council appointed Fr. Romuald Uzabumwana, member of the Holy Family Province (Rwanda/Congo DR), as General Consultor of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate and General Secretary for the Missions. This appointment comes after the unexpected death of Fr. Jean Betrand Etoundì, in whose soul we continue to pray for.

Zealous in both the field and office since his ordination in 1999, he served as Regional/Provincial of the Holy Family Province from 2011-2017, and from 2008-2014 was appointed as a member of the General Secretariat for Formation. He also holds a degree in Psychology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, where he will likewise conclude his doctorate studies.

We give gratitude to our confrere for assuming this role in the service of God, His Church, and St. Vincent, and henceforth assure him of our fraternal prayers. A word of profound appreciation also to his Provincial Rector, Eugène Niyomzima, and the entirety of the Province; for offering another member to serve on a distant shore.

 Congratulations, dear Fr. Romuald!
