To think, to feel, to do: Pallotti's Young Sons of Kerala
“Dear young people, the Church expects great things of you and your generosity! Do not be afraid to aim high!”
- Pope Francis

Though the rains have ceased, the situation’s reality has seeped deeper. In response, Pallottine efforts have increased throughout India’s southern state of Kerala; especially from the young men studying at Pallottigiri Minor Seminary.
In their third year, they were guided by Rev. Fr.’s Tomy Philip SAC & Shinu Thomas SAC. For the last week, they were involved in cleaning the Divine Day Care Centre, as well as other initiatives that grew from their presence.
Each day began with the Holy Eucharist and prayers; the most powerful source of strength to carry out the strenuous, continuous work for 7 hours per day, 5 days a week. No doubt a gift from God, they recalled Jesus’ words: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matthew 25:35-36).
It is most true: in giving we receive, and the joy of the people we assisted showed us that with God and unity, we can do beautiful things in service of the Lord and His people.
