"As The Family Goes, So Goes The Nation": Taiwan's Updates!

Family Prayers to Fall Fest!

The family that prays together, stays together!
— St. John Paul II

19 September + Taichung, Taiwan

So precious the prayers of the family, and so frequent our Holy Fathers fervently emphasize this! As St. Pius X wrote, ”The Rosary is the most beautiful and the most rich in graces of all prayers; it is the prayer that touches most the Heart of the Mother of God…and if you wish peace to reign in your homes, recite the family Rosary.”

As St. Teresa of Calcutta would concur, if we want peace in the world, we must first begin with peace in our homes. And so the mission Taiwan traverses, led by Fr. Jesus Antony John in the Diocese of Taichung. While the Pallottines are also in the Diocese of Chiayi, in Taichung, we focus on parish and prison ministry, as well as the Life in Christ movement.

These meetings of the families are not sporadic or far between, but rather habitual, in whose fruits are seen in the community’s communion. For just as they pray together, they also celebrate all that is good, organizing a Mid-Autumn fall festival reunion.

In the words of St. Vincent Pallotti, then, “all of us, subjects and superiors, each one in our task, work and rank, are bound with all possible perfection, to imitate Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, in carrying out all our duties towards God, neighbors, and ourselves, and in looking after our great sanctification.”

Holy Family & our Holy Founder, pray for us!
